alright so this is just a quick question what kind of cable would i use to connect the Xbox to my computer and how would u transfer my maps to the computer so i can use them in DotHalo?

if you have a router you would use a normal ethernet cable but if you are going directly from computer to xbox then you would use a cat5 crossover cable looks just like a normal ethernet cable but they are usually yellow....

ok ive got my cat5 cross over and i have FlashFXP as an FTP program and ive looked at other tut's but i dont really understand what they are talking about and some extra info i have an EvoX dash

first create a home network on your computer and then follow this guide and turn ICS on
http://www.xtreme-source.com/showthread.php?t=879
then turn your ip on evox to static and put in 192.168.0.3 and save that.
next go to FlashFXP and put in the same address password = xbox username=xbox and then click connect
*NOTE*MAKE SURE YOUR WINDOWS firewall IS OFF

if you have windows xp click
Start-Control Panel-Network & Internet connections-Setup home network
after you follow that wizard follow that other tutorial to turn on internet sharing...

alright i got the FTP and all that set up fine but it wont let me download halo 2 to the hardrive it says "an error occured while copying 'D'. error code 112? any clue?

ok scratch that first you will need to FTP the game,to your pc and then copy it back to the xbox,make a folder on your E drive called Games and place it there.....

hehe yupp, that would do it. if you dont use live just go and buy a nice big hard drive that has locking capability

alright im not one of those retarded modders that go into matchmaking but how can i go on live and do custom games because im using the SID 4 unleashX/EvoX mod and it like wont let me get on live

when you installed the softmod did you use the dual boot option nknave open retail???and did you have a xbox live account on the xbox before modding it??

if you want to go onlive with a softmodded xbox,when you softmod you must pick the dual boot option open=nknaves retail power button=modded...

so now that i have all this set up i need to get a new account in order to go on live? cuz it still isnt workin i type in my password and it just cancels it, it doesnt say anything at all it just like cancels and i have to sign in again

you will not be able to get to the actual live dash on a softmodded xbox even if you pick the dual boot option.....
