Hi, I'm trying to use verbatim DVD-R 16X, but my DVD burner won't accept them, but if I use sony DVD-R or verbatim DVD+R it doesn't have any problems , can any please tell me whats wrong with my burner.

My DVD drive is NEC DVD+/-RW Dual Layer Drive.

Have you tried updating your firmware.
Updated firmware increases compatibility with all types
of media, (expecially newer ones.)
Those verbs should code out to be MCC003 and are a GREAT product.
I would imagine updating your firmware would solve the problem.

+1. It's gotta be the firmware. Those 16x verbs are relatively new. Time to update that firmware!
