Yes, there is no downgrader for 2.01, only for 2.00 to 1.50. The other downgrader will only work with 2.60/2.50 to 1.50. So you would have to download the 2.50 firmware and upgrade it. Then you have to follow the steps on downgrading 2.50 to 1.50. I hope this helps. :)

Connect your PSP to your comp via USB...
In your
x:\PSP\Game
In game folder make a new folder called UPDATE
copy the 2.50 eboot in the UPDATE folder.
disconnect your usb. Put PSP in charger. On your PSP go into Game>memory stick and you should see "Update to 2.50" press that and it will update. I hope this helps. :)

FYI Follow the instructions when downgrading from 2.50 to 1.50. And also there are some complications involved. Remember this CAN brick your PSP if not done correctly. I have no reponsibility if it bricks your PSP. Although I downgraded from 2.60 to 1.50 just fine using the program. I hope you understand and this helps :).

What is the point of bringing up a 2 year old post?

The unpatched version will have a 2.0 UPDATE on it when you go to Game Menu to run it.
If the update is above 2.50 then you have the patched version.
But why use a 2.01 downgrader?
If your at 2.01 then update to 2.71 and use the downgrader that doesn't require a Game Exploit. Or update to 3.03 and use the 3.03 GTA LCS game exploit downgrader.
And I agree what is the point of bringing up a 2 year old post. LOL
