I HAVE A COPY OF ANY DVD AND CANT BACKUP THE COLOURED SONY DISCS CAN ANY ONE HELP ME..IT READS THEM FOR 8 SECS APPROX THEN FREEZES..

There are tons and tons of methods to rip dvds (even new released) now-a-days. Below are a few you can, yes.... even some of them are totally FREE.

<<< Method A >>>

* DVDFAB Decrypter (12 minutes to rip)
* VobBlanker (5 minutes to process the VIDEO_TS.IFO file for afterward "security" purpose and BLANK out any unwanted junks)
* DVD Shrink, Nero Recode 2 or DVD-RB Pro + CCE to do the job
* DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn (both FREE) or Nero to burn


<<< Method B **RipIt4Me** same as DVD Decrypter + PSL plugins >>>

* DVD Decrypter to rip (12 - 15 minutes to rip)
* FixVTS (about 5 minutes to process and filter out junks)
* DVD Shrink or your desire engine to transcode/encode
* DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn (both FREE or your desire engine to burn

HAVE GOT DVD XCOPY AND DVD Shrink BUT NEITHER OF THESE PROGS WILL LET ME BACKUP SONY DISCS..HAVE GOT ALSO ANY DVD WORKING IN BACKROUND IT DETECTS THESE DISCS BUT WONT LET ME READ THEM............

Don't type in "ALL CAPS"! That is the same as yelling at us, and we don't like to be yelled at!

What version of AnyDVD are you using? The latest version is 6.0.1.1, with a new beta out too. Your version may be too old. I have no trouble with Sony dvds, and I'm running the latest version of AnyDVD.

But, I've never tried to copy a colored disc. I've never even seen a colored disc.

Sorry....
The version i have got is version 5.9
Bought it about 3 months ago from Slysoft on the net..
Does it work with xcopy or should i download another program like DVD Shrink

The only version of X copy I knew anything about, split movies to two dvds. I didn't like that, so I never messed with it anymore.
AnyDVD works well with DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter, and other programs too.

You need to update your AnyDVD..............
