ping? pong! keeps coming up and eventually i get disconnected without the download even starting when im queued! any ideas? (someone told me to enable anti-idle,but he did say how and i cant find it! help any1? also the chats rooms where i aint allowed to type !list or @find or whateva how do i get files of those if any1 could be kind enough to help me out plz!! cheers :-)

what IRC client are you running? you can find all the settings in file/options. might i suggest a good script, i run excursion, you can get it from excursion.cjb.net

why would qwertyman need Excursion? Excursion is a serving script not to mention a major pain in the @ss to install let alone use. if qwertyman isnt planning on setting up an fserver or XDCC server , Excursion isnt worth using.. If you dont setup Excursion properly it can get you banned from channels/servers for all kinds of stoopid reasons.

I use Excursion too man and its not just a serving script either! It is a very useful script and I have had 0 problems with it. It's a lot metter than mIRC anyway!

To each their own I suppose. I use Excursion when I plan on taking advantage of its serving abilities other then that , I use MIRC 6.03 just plain ole MIRC. But thats just me speaking here.

For another suggestion mite suggest Polaris ..

I find excursion great! I use in on our IRC channel with the script running nicely, keeps the place clean ;-)
