hey guys I have a philips dvd recorder (dvdr615), and I have a problem with it..

It keeps saying blocked when i try and open the tray.. Is there any reset switch or some way to bypass this or is it actually blocked and needs repairing?

Yeah, sounds like something in your eject mechanism went bad. May be very simple to fix, or maybe the whole tray assembly needs to be replaced. Did the disc or tray go in normally the last time you shut it?

The tray has always went in and out smooth, I noticed it after we were done watching a movie, the next day i went to eject it to return it and it wouldn,t open.. Thats when it said blocked.. I then unpluged it and it worked shortly after? I'll try that again to and see what happens..
