HDD Disc Help?

Just recently my ps2 droped off a ... 1-2 foot high desk and can no longer find the HDD Drive thing. I have read what to do about this in the manual and it came out to me, I should just reinstall it but - the Utility disc keeps giving a "Read Disc" Error. There is no scratchs, cuts, etc on the disc. I have tried other discs and they work but not the Utility Disc.

Do I have to get a new Disc? If so, where?
Any other ideas would help

Your laser and/or HDD may be damaged from the drop - especially the HDD is not designed to handle that kind of impact

You can bring the HDD to a computer shop and see if there's anything wrong with it and if they can fix it, the utility disc.. was that in the PS2 when it was dropped? The laser may be knocked out of alignment, though that doesn't explain why the other discs read fine

The Utlility disc was not in the Ps2 when it droped

Could be the laser is out of alignment... my guess is to try the utility disc on someone else's PS2 and see if that helps, failing that you may need to get it to a PS2 repairer guy to have a look at it, I've never dealt with this so I'm not sure what to do to be honest

Um.. Me being a noob and all.. But.. Where would I find a "Ps2 Repairer guy?"
