When i compress a iso i cant get it open with umd gen can any body help me?

UMD gen can only read iso and dax(I think) not cso.

Yep, just make sure that you fix it (according to my tutorial) first, before compressing it. But you have to compress it to CSO and then run it with DevHook.

ok........well is there a way that I can revert a .cso file to a .iso file again because I don't want to use devhook.

Just use the iso compressor.
Compress the CSO to DAX
after that Decompress the DAX to ISO

when i use umdgen to compress the file into dax...then use iso compresser to convert to cso or jso it comes right up with a microsft error saying it encountered an error... what is that. is it because im running one compresser then another on the same file... it just thought it would be a really compressed file, because dax is really compressed when its done.. im trying to find the best way to get several games on my memory card.. could someone let me know what im doing wrong.thanks

ur trying to dual compress one file? won't work.

just use CSO compression level 9, or use DAX and get a dax mod for devhook.

can someone link me to a good guide for using umdgen? I'd like to know how to backup my game to play from memory stick. I have the 'play from memory stick' part down pat. Just wondering how to rip the umd to an iso. Thanks

if you have a 1g memory card some games will not fit unless you use a ripkit

or compress the iso (cso),you can compress the iso with umdgen or iso compressor

but some games will lag if you compress them like gta:vice city stories or daxter so its better to have them as a iso for that you need a 2gb memory card or bigger because the max capacity of a umd is 1.8 gb dual layer
