Hi Guy's
I'm running Shrink, with Nero, alone with AnyDVD and have had pretty good success, but have run into a problem recently, when trying to back-up Batman Begins. Shrink doesn't even finish it's Analysis before it stop in error and leaves the following message:

DVD Shrink to read file "F:\"
Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

Any input here would definitly be appreciated.
Thanks

Update to the latest version of AnyDVD 6.0.2.1beta

Check the disc for scratches, dirt, fingerprints, etc... clean the disc.

After you have cleaned the disc and updated and still does not work, you may have a bad pressed disc.

If all else fails try DVDFab Decrypter (free) to break the encryption while putting the movie onto your HDD then use a program called VobBlanker then Shrink then Nero to burn

Or there is a program called Ripit4Me. You can download from here while using the excellent guide by arniebear http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/360110

AnyDVD, dvdfab decrypter and vobblanker along with a guide on how to use vobblanker(by alkohol) can all be found by the links in my sig ;)

EDIT: Here is another guide on how to use VobBlanker http://www.dvdr-digest.com/articles/article_vobblanker_page1.html

99% of the time (for me, anyway) a cyclic redundancy error = scratched/dirty disc.

cyclic redundancy error in shrink means one of two things

1) The disc is dirty, scratched or bad press
2) Shrink can not handle the encryption on the dvd (like arcoos, ripguard etc..)
