Is that 21 mins 57 seconds long? What kind of clips is the original(Mpeg, AVI, RM,) or what? When you convert some file types to DVD or VCD the size is greatly increased for some reason. I have gotten the same "out of Sync" audio when using TMPGEnc. Do not know why but it happens. I have had much better results with WinAvi converter 7.0. I saw in a forum somewhere someone posted it to Rapidshare for download with the license key, but I can't remember where I saw it.
The clip is a VOB from a DVD. It's 21:57 long. DVDLab and TMPGEnc tells me the mpv = 1 hr. 20 min and the AC3 = 21:57. When I compile it the audio is out of synch. Don't get it. I took the VOB and created a new VOB using VOBedit. (That worked for another VOB I had which was out-of-synch but not this one.)
I wonder if you have tried playing your original VOB file to see if the audio is out of synch in the original. If it is I do not know how to fix that. If the original VOB plays correctly, I would try processing with winavi or whatever software you have that will create a DVD compliant folder, then run the folder through VTSFix and see if that helps. VTSFix is freeware. What are you using to burn, or have you tried to burn the VOB? I have not used TMPGEnc to do DVD cause I cannot afford the full app. I can only use it for VCD. Have you considered trying to convert the VOB to VCD and burn it that way? By the way The VLC player will play the single VOB file so you can see what the original does. (Guess you know that though).
