I just bought a swap magic 3.8 with slidecard, I followed the instructions to enter the slidecard and the tray came out a bit so I pulled on it, which was obviously a mistake, I heard a grinding sound which was probably the gears. Is there any way to fix it without opening the ps2? If I do have to open is there any tutorial I can follow. I have used the search button but it didnt have any helpful answers.

Edit-
I pushed the tray up while pushing it in slowly and it works now, but I guess I will have to read up on the slide card otherwise I might really break the PS2.

Have a search on the net, opening the PS2 is pretty easy, just unscrew the screws and open it

Have a look in http://www.swapmagic3.com/ for info on how to use the slidetool

also check out that guide.
Just buy a fliptop, slidecards are a pain to use and there is more chances to mess up your PS2

When you turn it on and press eject, what happens?
I fixed mine by pulling it all the way out, turning it on, then pressing eject. That or just SLOWLY push it all the way back in then turn it on and press eject. One or the other should get it moving again.
The grinding is just the gears because you are doing it manually instead of it opeining it with power.
