Haven't been able to copy the DVDs in this set with DVDshrink or with AnyDVD, does anyone know a different program that could remove the css protection on these discs?

Hi Dyson
What error are you getting?
Make sure AnyDVD is up to date too -6.0.1.1. There is also a beta version 6.0.2.1 on their website you may want to try if not using alredy.
Try the ripper in AnyDVD also.

Here's another program(s) to use all free:

Hello.

Can you tell us a bit more about what happened? Does DVD Shrink refuse to open the disk? Does DVD Shrink crash? Etc.

The disk may have a defect.

Have you tried ripping with DVDFab Decrypter, processing the ripped files through FixVYS or Vobblanker, and then open them in DVD Shrink?

Links to software in my signature.

Guide: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/334154

ripit4me is a new program that uses DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, and FixVTS to backup DVDs. I haven't heard of anything it can't handle.

I'm using AnyDVD 6.0.1.1

It gives me this message when I insert the disc.

"WArning:
Any DVD is unable to crack all CSS Keys on this disc!
AnyDVD will guess the correct CSS Key, but it is possible that one or more titles on this disc will not play correctly.
You can check the AnyDVD CSS key archive from the AnyDVD setting window.
Note: To avoid this message in the future you should set your drive region code to match the region of the disc."

When I try to use CloneDVD to copy it, disregarding the earlier message I get this, which isn't the same message I get if the disc is damaged.
"Creation of DVD files was not succesful: unexpected error
Please be sure that all input files are available and that they represent a properly mastered DVD.
If you are confident this error should not happen, check for a newer CloneDVD2.
If the error persists, please send the following information to ___"

The only thing I can think of is that I haven't set my DVD to Region 1, but this never gave me an issue before.

I'll look into the other programs you guys have listed.

Hello again.

I'd download the new beta version of AnyDVD 6.0.2.1. The history says it was updated to deal with a new arcoss protection. Maybe the Reno disk has this.

After that try the ripit4me approach which uses PSL files with DVD Decrypter to overcome the arcoss structural protection scheme. Binkie's link goes directly to arniebear's guide which has all the particulars.

@Dyson
I'm just curious what protection does AnyDVD show on this one?

Follow laddyboy's advice and let us know how it goes - good, bad or otherwise!
