I'm looking to put a new HDD in my softmod Box. I used the 007 exploit to softmod it. I popped in the AID DVD and its amazing. I formatted the small drive in there and installed avalaunch and some apps and its great.....
Well, now I want to throw a big HDD in there.
I have a big drive in my modded (with chip) xbox thats flakey about booting, can I just throw that in and it works? I don't mind formatting it again if I have too. I have the games backed up so I can reinstall to HDD if needed....
Mainly I don't wanna bother touching my PC to setup this drive. Is it possible using the AID disk?
ok there are 2 ways to upgrade hdd on your softmoded xbox:
1/ borrow the modchip from the hardmoded xbox.
2/ use xboxhdm. For xboxhdm, you need the eeprom.bin from softmoded xbox. To get it, you need to download Config Magic and FTP to softmod xbox. Then run it and backup eeprom. But do not unlock hdd. When done, FTP everything of C and E drive to PC. You will need them for xboxhdm.
