i just got this, and whenever i got to burn a DVD, or creat an ISO image, once it gets to transcoding the video, i get this message:

opperating system error:HRESULT=0x80040217 - no combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection. -14

anyone know what my problem is?

"intermediate filters"

sounds like you need more codecs

my suggestion is to go to the manufacturers forums and ask there

if there are no manufacturers forums then the helpdesk would be your route

qazwiz is qazwiz everywhere. If you see me say HI!

DVDit isn't really meant for Encoding, more for authoring. I Encode mine ahead of time in MPEG-2 with winAVI then start using DVDit.

Hey... was hoping someone could help me with my little problem.

When i go to create a dvd volume, i get the following pop-up error;

"internal software error: .\Vobulator\Blockplanner\Blockplanner.cpp, line 239 -2 Found PG with no video."

But when i run through the simulate, everything works fine and it's all very confusing.

Im welcoming all suggestions as it's a dvd of my brothers wedding so heart is set on making it work.

Thanks

It might be better to make a new thread in a sub-forum about the program you are using then tell all the stats you can think of about the system and program you are using... (include the log-file... )

Off hand, since simulate works, it is probably not the program itself but might be a driver that needs to be upgraded

EDIT: or the program might need an upgrade to recognize your burner

REEDIT: I defer to to the following post as I have only amateur standing on this subject

kit1039...posting your question with its own thread might be a good idea. Here is basically what I think is happening and will help you form the thread....

The person who put the wedding DVD together made a mistake in the architecture...which is the program info on the DVD that tells the player what to do and play. This is the VOB and PG part of the message. It is possible that if you use DVD Decrypter to put the files on your HDD it will get fixed well enough to burn. If not, you will likely need to extract the basic files...which are most likely intact and usable...and re-author the wedding video. A program like Nero6 or 7 will allow you to do this.

That's great that Decrypter did the job! Thanks for letting us know how it turned out.

As far as keeping those memories forever...make sure you use some good media. There is some stuff on the shelf right now that won't last more than a year or two. There is a lot of info within these forums on good store-bought media. Personally, I use Taiyo Yuden and Ridata...but I buy these online in quantity.
