why is it so slow to copy a DVD

I used to copy DVD's fairly fast on DVD Shrink but now it says it is going to take 6 hours to download to my harddrive who has that much time. Someone please help me speed it up.

Hello.

Are you ripping directly from the DVD with Shrink or are you processing already ripped files with Shrink? Are you using AnyDVD or a similar program to overcome copy protection?

Has your burner slipped into PIO mode from DMA mode. See this guide:

On the DMA / PIO front I stumbled across this which may help. Note the link to a script that makes the registry fixes for you. Good luck.

like laddyboy said it takes that long to Burn the movie or it takes that long to run it thru DVD Shrink?

what program are u using to break the protection?
what program are u using to burn with?
If u are using shrink to autoburn? with what prog. Nero or ImgBurn or DVD Decrypter?

definetly check your DMA settings
