Door Spring for PS2 Slim Popped Out. HELP!

Hi,
The spring at the back of the PS2 Slim that helps the door to open has popped out and I'm having a hell of a time trying to get it back in. I've actually been trying for about an hour. Any ideas?
If the door came off the hinges it would be a lot easier to get back in.

you probably has to open the console to get it back in... personally i wouldn't worry too much about it, I mean the lid opens and closes fine right?

Yeah it opens and closes fine but it's just one of those things where it should be really easy to fix but it's not. A little irritating.

I have a feeling it's something you can't gain access to easily (if it's even possible) without opening the console (should be easy if you do this), now it depends if you still have your warranty, if it ran out then there's nothing stopping you from opening the console really

Well, I bought the console about 4 months ago so I suppose the warranty is for a year (not sure). Anyway, I might just open the thing and slot it in.

If you think your warranty is there, I'd say just leave it, I wouldn't void the warranty over that spring
