playstation2 ar2 v2 cd1, need help plz

hi
i have an old ps2 (30004-R i think) and an action replay 2 v2 cd1, but i haven't got the action replay memory card.

when i turn on the ps2 with the cd inside , all i get is the ar screen with "hardware not detected" displayed on the screen.

the guy who sold me the cd told me that i have to "copy" "it" on the ps2 memory card (like DVD REGION X)
how do i copy?
