Is there ANY way to format the hdd on an unmodded xbox??
Can anyone GUIDE me in the installation of the Xenium Gold so I don't have to read EVERYTHING!!!??? Yeah, I guess I'm getting lazy, but I've been reading all day, and I still am stupid!?!
It was supposed to be solderless yet now I read that I have to solder the adapter to the LCP? I don't know nuthin' 'bout all that!?! Besides it looks like my solder gun is going to be unuseable for this as it's such tiny stuff...
What is the best stuff to read, so I don't have to go thru everything to get this done?
Well, I have installed the modchip, it was solderless! If I would only read!lol But now, becuz my harddrive files were corrupt I cannot get it to boot from the original bios/dashboard... I have EVOX and other dashboards but will have to FTP them onto the XBOX - I'm confused though as my older son has a modded XBOX and runs several different harddrives by just exchanging them when he wants but says now he can't FTP becuz his CAT% cables are no good... I wanted him to make a disk so we could try booting that way, but he says my computer doesn't create good ISO disks... so he wants me to email them to him, but their size is going to make them huge... we are downloading AID(?) which is supposed to have these files we need included, so I will have to see how that goes... seems like the Xenium Gold went in easy and it is acting great, it boots like it's supposed to, I thought tho that the XOS WAS the dashboard and appropriate files.... so, wish us luck and I'll keep ya'll posted - this would've been much easier if the darn thing would've been working right, but this is why I bought the chip, to fix the prob...
btw, it's ver 1.6 XBOX and the chip is the latest one by Xenium with the 2.03(?)XOS... Thanks for your reply :)
