i"m new to this program ,i downloaded FFDShow 2006-05-26...my windows media player says it can't open it. what program do i need to open it with.....

FFDShow is a codec which is needed to view certain files. It runs in the background when you open a XviD and other file types. You dont need a program to open it.

thanks for the info ,what's happening is i use dvd santa to recode movies and it keeps saying it can't open these movies it's like the XviD,and other file types that won't open so i thought this program might open these movies my friend told me to use damon tools but it says you can't get that anymore....
