PS2 + DMS4 EZI Pro + HDD = PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Before I got the DMS4, I was using HD. Advance. Now I installed and flash updated with ToxicOS 0.41. Now my problem is, trying to figure out how to rip games like the HD. Advance onto the hard drive, using the DMS4 chip and Toxic. Right now i don't know how to do that, so I am still using the HD. Advance to rip games. Please help.

OK here is what you do. This is supposing you have already figured out how to install the hard drive and then let ToxicOS format it.
1. First start up the PS2 and hold the square button while it starts and it should bring you to the ToxicOS menu.
Go to settings and set the boot mode so that it boots up to ToxicOS
Go to the bottom and then choose to save and exit

2. Now reset the PS2 so the changes take effect and it should load right back up to the screen you were just on instead of the normal PS2 screen.

3. Choose ToxicOS from the 3 options (ToxicOS, Settings, Load game from disc) on this screen and it should bring up the menu that has all your games, cheats, and ELF (homebrew) stuff all with tabs to change between each section. Choose the game tab (by moviug the controller left or right) and then press down so that you are in the box where your games are (or will be if there are none on there) and then press right on the controller pad so you highligh the menu to the far right that has options like install, delete and so on.

4. now just choose install and it should ask for the game disc. Then it will ask something else and you say yes, then it will start to copy from the disc to the hard drive.

Thanks, this is awesome, better then hd advance. Now my problem is ripping/installing PS1 games. It says it has to be a PS2 game. Is there a way around this for installing?

Not sure, i never tried a PS1 game on it.
I do not play them anymore as there are too many PS2 games out there.
Are there really PS1 games you still play enough to want them on your hard drive?
I would say that it can not play them, but the only real way is to research it on sites like the DMS Forums and see if anyone has a solution. Or try putting one one there and playing with the ToxicOS settings. I know it has a PS1 Video Fix, not sure what it is used for though.

You can't play PS1 games off the hard drive. I believe it is because the same chip that controls the hard drive also has something to do with running PS1 games.
