Like a 3.3V or a 5V point? There are actually tons of places on the board to draw power from. The install diagrams from different modchips usually give different points. Also, it is possible to check different places on the board for continuity with the point that you are told to use, these will all have the same voltage as that point.

if you want to check for continuity, put the probe of a multimeter to two points on the console, if the resistance reading between two is very close to 0 (you'd never get 0 because there's always resistance even between the probes) but if it's say 200R then you know there's a 200R resistor/series of resistors to make up that resistance in between them
When I installed my Matrix Infinity I just went for the points that I think was the easiest to access/solder to, and not necessarily followed the diagram (for the power), and it works fine

It's the only orange wire (bigger than the rest). Sorry, should have made that more clear.
It's a much easier point to solder to than the one they show in the DMS4 manual.
