Sony Leads "Best Brands" Study

Despite a few recent stumbles, Harris Poll shows that the Sony brand is still king. The Japanese company led the pack for the seventh straight year, followed by top brands Dell and Coca-Cola.

The poll measures the popularity of company brand names -- a high ranking would prove that a company is truly a household name
Over 2,000 US individuals participated in this year's poll. Participants were asked to name company brand names, and were unaided by company lists or any other help. Thus, the results reflect that Sony's marketing efforts have been hugely successful, even following a few frustrations regarding the PlayStation 3's hefty price tag and delayed release.
Other brands that made the top-ten list include Ford (5th place), Honda (6th place), and Apple (10th place).

sony makes high quAlity stuff "most times" not every time
i still remember my old ps2 no ps2's i had 4 of them and they all broke
now i have that SHI* slimline peice of motherfu***** garbage ****

but yeah i agree sony makes high quality stuff
especially the Vaio series they're my favorite
did you notice that most sony computers run really good with linux
but that slimline peice of sh** ps2

I got my PS2 4 years ago and its still in perfect condition. I have 3 sony tvs and I think they're very nicely built. Part of the reason why its so well known is how far back it goes.

"few" was putting it mildly. This is off topic but was intersting.God of war creator doesnt want to make "epic" games any more so essentially the franchise could be dead which sucks because it wouldve been a hella ps3 game. I guess someone else could take over the game but that usually doesnt work out well.

Well i only ever bought one ps2 and it still never broke down on me. Sam ewith the ps1 only bought one and it never broke. As well the 3360 did have some breaking down issues, overheating and so on and still ot this day 360 are unrealiable. Im not sure if ps2 stil do all my other freind ps2 never broke before either.

whourdady, Im not sure what you meant but I wouldn't really call god of war epic. It was action packed and had smooth and responsive controls as well as a camera angle that worked which Is why its a winner. But when you think about it, the game was very linear, forcing you to follow a path and go from level to level. An epic game would be like GTA San Andreas or Zelda Windwaker or Oblivion. Those games give you a huge universe with lots of things to do that all intertwine and also give you an involving story.

you or i may not call god of war epic but when the game creator calls it an epic based game i think id take his word when he says he doesnt want to make epic games like god of war...plain and simple
