Right I want to ask a question. I went down the shops the other day and saw an Xbox 360 on a HD TV. When I saw it a nearly pissed my pants it looked amazing!! The thing is I can?t buy one... Why I hear you ask? Well ill tell you.
I remember way back when I first played the PS1 over 10 years ago when it came out it took everyone by surprise and turned out to be an amazing console. When PS2 came out obviously I wanted one even though it was expensive and I wasn?t disappointed even though they took their time to bring out any descent games for it. Ps2 was a quality piece of kit. So ive been playing the ps2 for how ever many years it?s been out and it?s stuck by me through thick and thin. Never let me down and always delivered. PS2 was quality!!!
There for my question is what?s wrong with a person like me staying loyal to a brand that served him well for over 10 years!! Does it make me a fanboy if I say I don?t want a XBOX even if PS3 is more expensive? I trust Sony as a brand and they have never disappointed so im going to stick with them.
Buying a console for some people isn?t like a normal person buying a TV where you just go for the best one at the best price. It?s like supporting a football team that you pay to see or buying your dream car. Your console grows up with you, entertains you, cheers you up when your down, helps you socialise and lives with you for how ever long you keep it.
People criticise Sony fans for being loyal, too loyal but it?s only because Sony deliver and customers appreciate that. Im sure if Sony let their fans down they will simply vote with their feet. Until that time im staying with Sony.

Ahhh I dunno if your a fanboy.It's mostly ms and nintendo fans that will accuse you of this simply because you like a console they hate that goes opposite as well.
To me it makes perfect sense to buy something you feel is reliable and gives you the best of what your looking for.It's pretty normal.It happens with all products take the ipod for instance my sister got one and she really liked it but she got drunk and it fell in a puddle and never recovered but she went right out and got another ipod.
Don't buy hype and what others want you to.Be yourself.I think your making the right decision.

i do not see you as a fanboy however i think people classify sony fans as fanboys because "some" of them tend to not be educated and still blindly buy sony products. For example everyone who've ive spoken to nbot in a forum who is getting a ps3 doesnt know sh!t about it but still plans on getting a $600 console. Well, im going to cut myself short i dont want a wart...

i don't get too wrapped up into the whole 'fanboy' thing....there are definately some crazzzys out there(i won't lie) who do go a bit too far. there are also people like yourself who have had much success or fun with certain consoles so they develop loyalty towards a particular brand. i don't think its possible to really straddle the fence and be neutral as it is extremely easy for people to twist or even misintrepret others' words.

I have no idea why theese 360 fanboys are so crazy,i have a 360 and i still think teh ps3 is f*ing awsome and i'm defianantly going to get one! and besides,before all those xbox fanboys has there xbox's,they were all playing their ps1's and ps2's....LoL...the irony

make your own team like the edited by ddp did
they won't find out
just make sure you don't post this in the 360 section, they will flame you because most of them are little edited by ddp
but still, someone should close this post seeing how i just wasted time posting what should be common sense

Well I'm a pc gamer but I have a ps2 and love it.It always has the best games.I play rpg's, strategy games,and fps's on the pc and use my ps2 for platformers,adventure games,3rd person games and most of all the exclusives like ratchet and sly.
I really don't consider you a fanboy just because you like something for a good reason.A fanboy from my experience is someone who goes out of their way to convince you that their system is better than the one your wanting.They are a walking billboard and seem to not know it.
I think ty and hade said it best just be yourself and buy what you want.Don't listen to idiots lol.

if you like rpg's then get oblivion for the 360...that's pretty much teh only reason i bought my 360...i heard on teh pc version if your pc is hardcore,then oblivion's load times will be extremely small,the loading words might not even come up...i haven't even tried oblivion on my pc yet...

But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

i dont like when im accused for being a fanboy when i clearly see the tech difference in the two systems. that other thread with the ps3 info in detail is the best. the guys second post shows mostly why.

I dunno you guys it's pretty normal to wonder if your a fanboy.When people accuse you of it you start to question yourself but then you just realize they are the fanboys and that's why they are trying to change your mind.

I dont care what people call me(Fan Boy)Because Sony backers know who like to spit out this term.I love Sony stuff because its top of the line brand to me.But every company has its flaws Sony is Cus service some say but im not buying it.I got a tread in The PS3 forum here where one company did a poll to see what was the most house hold brand.When they asked them they didnt give out chioces.Sony was number 1.

There are a total of 2 pieces of sony electronics in my house... both being ps1. I don't like sony for historical reasons..mainly down to faulty TV's.. but it's your money..spend it how you want.
It's really pointless shouting and screaming about which is the best toy when there are people on the planet whose only posessions are a blanket and an AK47.. That's what annoys me, the fact it's totally irrelevant which one you buy..none, both or all.. It doesn't make any difference to somebody with no electricity who has never seen a TV.

sony makes alot of stuff
i even open my xbox not to long ago to upgrade its ram and saw some chips made by sony in the xbox
but thats normal
don't you have any dvd players or vcrs or radios
your pc parts also
currently have these consoles
