i tried to load my save game and it did not work,
i looked on my memory card and it said "no data", but it looks like some memory on the card is still being used.
is there any way of getting the data back or is it gone?

some games dont work with Max Memory, they somehow stuff ervery save you have on your card. Did this just happen randomly or did it happen as soon as you started a certain game?

Yea the Max cards screw up very easy, best bet is to get a 8mb Sony one and just use your 32mb one to backup your saves to, when needed.
EDIT: Reformat it using the ARMAX software that should have come with it. that will fix all problems for now.

Try reformatting your memory card to get it empty again and start over. But if you have anything you want to keep copy it to another Memorycard.Sony is the only brand i would use.

What disc did it come with? i know with ARMAX in the Max memory manager you press either circle or square with the Card highlighted.

On your Max Memory CD does it have a screen where you choose you Mem card? highlight your Max Mem card and press either circle or square.

Ooh, so that's why Final Fantasy Tactics doesn't recognise my memory cards.
I hate that they only work with certain memory cards, really I do. Anyone able to tell me which memory cards work with Final Fantasy Tactics?
I did have one that worked with it, but it was stolen ages ago and I just refound the game. It works fine, just says I have my memory cards inserted wrong, so I can't save. x.x
