Damn. It's a shame my DW1640 won't burn those Verb. CD-Rs faster than 16x.

When evolution selects its agents, it does so at a cost, makes demands in exchange for singularity, and you may be asked to do something against your very nature. This force, evolution, is not sentimental. Like the Earth itself, it knows only the hard facts of life's struggle with death. All you can do is hope and trust that when you have served its needs faithfully, there may still remain some glimmer of the life you once knew.

Also, Verb DL 10-packs at OM for $19.99. Try this, fellow dual-layer enthusiasts: Buy five and a pack of gum, then use a competitor's coupon (if you have one). The manager of my OM let me use a $20 off $100 coupon from OD. It knocked another four bucks off per 10-pack. Worth a try if you've got extra coupons and an OM nearby.

The 20 bucks for the lightscribe @ bestbuy is the best deal I've seen for the lightscribe verbs. The lowest prior to this week was 24.99.

Good stuff!

I spoke to someone at Verbatim last week. They said late August they will be offering additional light scribe colored discs, Blue, Green and Red instead of the monochromatic Gold.....

Should be cool!

But, they'll still be monochromatic, just in a different colour, yeah?

C'mon, man this is old news! We already knew that!

lol

Just bustin' ya.

I'm still on the fence about it though. I dunno how the burned label will look on blue, red, etc.

I'm with you Ihoe. I'm not using mine any more either as I put all of my burns in the case I got from (I think) supermedia. I only have about 20 left that I use to hold the burns until I get them entered into my inventory sheet and put in the big case. I gave all of the ones I had to my son -- he still likes to have them in the bookcase.

you do a spread sheet for your cataloging.... I use DVDProfiler ... it's a cool program and I put in the whereabouts of the DVD .... like Case 1 #459! very easy to use, and you can just type in the name of the movie and up pops where it is and it's very fast to retrieve it! I'm up to my 3 case of 600!

I use DVDProfiler also , but I put the names in the spreadsheet and then I can sort it by name and by number. Guess I never fully paid attention to the fact that I could put the location (sleeve number) into Profiler. Me thinks I might better look at that program again. :)

very easy, but with the amount of DVDs that I had to catalog it took me about 3 days to put into cases and type location. Well worth it!

I picked up some slim cases last night at staple's. Almost grabbed the wrong ones- 50 pks for $18

$3 cheaper for the 100 pks.

I also noticed they had a special on the Epson R-340 for $129 after rebate. The r-220 runs about $100

Anyone looking for the epson cd printer, that's a pretty good price for the r-340 at staple's.
