Hi,

I was wondering if this is possible to do, having to hook up my ps2 console to my pc instead of a television?

if so, what do i need ..etc ..etc

You can't connect it to the PC itself, but you can connect it to a PC monitor... you need something that converts composite video to VGA, I use a TV tuner for this

so if i get the cheapest tv tuner and it will work?
i dont really need an expensive one since i'm not going to watch it.

It comes down to the quality you want... I have S video input and Progressive scan on my tuner, and the result is quite good, but having said that, a standard TV's resolution isn't that high anyway so even if you get something that only supports resolutions up to 640x480 you probably won't notice the difference anyway.
