So I finally got everything working, but I managed to by accidentally break the swap magic disk. It is a minor scratch, but any ideas how to fix it? Can I download the software?

I have a swap magic disk and my brother once closed the tray on it, leaving a large scratch. The best way to fix it would be to use something like a skip dr to resurface it. How it works is it bassicly uses a rubber wheel to remove a small layer of acrylic from the disk in order to remove surface scratchs and you can resurface it multiple times for deep scratches. A motorized one would cost you $25- 35 so unless you have some other disks you would like to fix you might just want to get a new swap magic disk. And no, you cant download it. For the same reason you cant play a PS2 game without it. The disks have encryption put on them from the factory and there is no software or dvd drive that can burn it. Swap magic loads the encryption and then you switch to a disk that doesn't have the encryption.

You can call/take it to your local CD store and ask them to repair it. Like over here where I live there's a Disc-Go-Round store that has machines and they can repair it if the scratch is not too deep. It only costed me like 4 bucks for them to repair it.

Although, usually they will examine the disc and they will tell you prior to paying if the machine will or will not fix it.
