I'm playing a PAL image of smackdown vs. raw 2006 from my hard drive and I have patched it for online play. However,when I get to the mode slect screen, online is grayed and the game tells me that my network adapter isn't detected. Why is that?

this is because you can't play DNAS enabled games online off of the hdd. Had you done a little searching you would've found your answer without posting.

like WEStar said, the only way to play that online is to patch the game and play it with disc or use the original disc
