What happend: i took my camera to the phillipines and worked fine 2 outa the 3 weeks there. when it started acting up.

Problem: ok my camcorder has one of the things where you open it then a little thing comes up and the place to insert the tape pops sideways. like below

well when you close it it should go back down...when i close it so the tape can go down...the tape jusst makes a noise like its rewinding it for 2 seconds then pops back out...i think its not grabbing the tape or something....any ideas how i can fix it?
I live in the Everett, WA area....is there anywere i can send it?
Ive emailed sharp twice, once today. they havent done crap... it is still functional with pictures....the only problem is it wont accept the tape.....any ideas?
