I havea gamertag and whatnot but I cannot find my serial. If it was on the big sticker on back I'm screwed. I got mine from refurbdepot.com and it didn't come with the sticker. If not the sticker, is there any way possible to retrieve my serial from my software or the parts inside the Xbox?

if you already have a gamertag made the you shouldnt need a serial unless you want to make another account...

I have a gamertag but I need the serial to register my Xbox. I've never used live before.

all you have to do is go to account recovery,i just did it and didnt need no serial.....

How do I go about it? What do I click... links please?
If I can make it work I'll be forever indebted to you :D
Do I need to install Xbox live on my Xbox? Mind you I have never done this before :(
I have the money just no live'age :D
Is the serial just to register for customer support like EA games lets you do?

OH! I SEE IT NOW!!! *jumps around like a raving lunatic*
I go to live recovery on my dashboard after I buy my subscription and enter the code. So instead of telling it to send the info to my serial through the website I can just directly download it by telling it my gamertag name.
Because it's a refurbed Xbox I hope to god it hasn't already been used for a different gamertag for someone else.

I just about had a heart attck when I figured it out. Almost like the security flaws in XP home. I can't believe I didn't see that before.
By telling me about it you gave me a lead to go on and I thank you. My dad'll be home in about 2 hours. I'll tell you what happens after I try it.
