Is this a good mod chip for the xbox? I need one that is soderless and that doesn't need a hard drive to load backed up xbox games. Please help me find one. Thanks a bunch!

hyper x is a good chip at all. it seems to be that it was the maker of the spyder chip which was the worst chip of a modding history.
i suggest a chip by xenium. smartxx, or xecuter. u could find those chips at www.divineo.com. this is where i got mine. u sould get a xenium gold. it works like a charm. if not u could try something else. but one thng u sould know is that u could get a decent chip from around 45- 70 bucks.

i meant hyper x isnt a good modchip. srry bout the typo.
yes, xenium gold has a solder adapter whick could be attached to the chip. and no u dont need a hd. but i strongly suggest to get one. if ur going to mod and xbox than putting stuff on there is wht youll do.
get a hd around 120 and above

make sure if ur not getting that one then get a hd that is ultra ata or eide or else the hd wont work

Now do you absolutley have to have solderless, because in many cases a soldered option is more reliable. Soldering isnt that hard, just practice on some wire a few times then go for it.

I personaly use the duox 2 and it works great.

Hey i have a box with an error 21 message and was told to get a chip to fix it. so i got the HyperX BIG mistake didnt work and all the wires broke off piece of crap. can any one tell what chip i can you to get rid of the error 21 so i can use my box again. it has never been softmodded

Anybody know anyone who could make em a sweet signature picture involving Cloud from Final Fantasy 7 and the words "FF7_4ever"???

So what is a chip that is Solderless and I dont have to have an HD to use it? Also I just want it to boot burnt games that are on a DVD-R.

Xenium soderless kicks azz but it's my first chip I have ever bought so i can't compare it to anything else. Now only if I can get the right bios so I can get all 300 gigs. of my hard drive(not 127), then my word maybe good. lol

Again booting form a DVD-R not an CD or a Hard Drive. What is the chip that I need? I don't care about the hard drive chips or anything like that. Please tell me about solder less chips that can boot DVD-R disc.

It will allow you to install a new dahsboard which will fix any error 21, plus you can install a hacked dahs allowing you to run apps, and back-ups.

Yes, all modchips have the same basic function, just some come with extra "features". And why are you worried about chips coming with a different bios, you can just reflash a neww correct one.
