this reminds me, there was a way to use the psp as the infamous 'bluebox' up until June 15th 2006 when the last supporting network of that type was dis-continued in Wiconia, MN

how can i make my psp into a bluebox
n early phreaking tool, the blue box is an electronic device that simulates a telephone operator's dialing console. It functions by replicating the tones used to switch long-distance calls and using them to route the user's own call, bypassing the normal switching mechanism. The most typical use of a blue box was to get free telephone calls. Blue boxes no longer work in most western nations, as the switching system is now digital and no longer uses in-band signaling. Instead, signaling occurs on an out-of-band channel which cannot be accessed from the line you are using (called Common Channel Interoffice Signaling (CCIS)).
The blue box got its name because the first device confiscated by Bell System security was in a blue plastic case.

oh and sorry, it wasn't Waconia it was Wawena, MN (the last N2 System[blueboxable] in the lower 48 united states)
there is a rather decent sized phreak community in Minnesota from the 612/952/651/320/206/763 area codes, so that covers about the whole state.
pirate i'll see if i can find the files i have that explain how to use the psp as a bluebox (even though now it's null and void, but still a cool toy)
