I have a DVD+R Burner. I purchased the WIN-TV PVR-250 Video Card, and I have some files which are movies in .AVI format.
OBJECTIVE: Burn DVD Video Content.

I read many guides. I followed the step by step instructions at www.doom9.org for turning the .AVI into a .MPEG. Separating the sound, converting it to AC3, and converting the video. The DVD Software I own is Platinum, and it does not seem to handle the separate audio source, is there another means to add the audio source to the video source or can you recommend a software solution?

I recorded some shows from the WIN-TV PVR. I used various speeds, DVD Standard, DVD Extended, etc., basically they were:
DVD Long Play 2 minute 80.2 Megabytes
4.8 - 6.2 Mbits/sec
DVD Standard Play 2 minute 116 Megabytes
6.4 - 8 Mbits/sec
MPEG2 12Mbits/Sec 2 minute 149 Megabytes 9.6 - 12 Mbits/sec
MPEG2 12Mbits/sec CBR 2 minute 182 Megabytes 12 Mbits/sec
I was able to successfully burn a DVD (although I had to purchase a new DVD player, my Sony S-330 did not play them), the DVD's I burned played, but over time the audio lost synchronization with the words. This I did not expect. I thought I saw somewhere on this site that issue addressed, but could not find it, can someone tell me why this is happening and how to fix it?
I truly am sorry if this is a total repeated question, I have been searching on multiple sites for some solutions.
I do not understand all the lingo (YET!), and all the software I must use for conversion has my head exploding. The only thing that seems to work is making VCD's using bindwrite. I want to see how much better a SVCD is, but not sure if I can make one from a VCD (.bin/.cue files).
You might as well say reality is the result of complex negotiations between the observer and the observed. But that is simply a point of view.
