Can someone tell me how to convert Video_TS to AVI or point me to correct forum please.

Hey helppleas,
If you have Nero 7 Ultra edition u should have Nero vision it puts the movie on to a dvd and plays in ur dvd player although it may take awhilt most other programs take bout 2-3 hours.

Thanks, but I don't want it on DVD. I want it as an AVI file so I can edit it using Pinnacle Studio 9. Anyway I found a solution and it worked great. Thanks again.

At the time of writing last reply I didnot have the info with me as I was at work. Here is how I converted Video_TS to AVI. Unfortunately it cost money, but worked very well.

If you have winavi,you only need to add the .vob files which under VIDEO_TS,then convert them to AVI directly.Maybe you can try its free trial version from here:

I tried it and it didn't work at all. I would appreciate if someone it worked for can give a step by step

sometimes it ends up badly out of sync with simple direct conversion methods.. I take the video_ts file and rename it .mpg (dvd standard is mpeg2).. then I hack it about with avidemux.. handbrake and bitripper (paid but easy enough to find pirated) will also do the same things, but I stick with what I know.. avidemux or ffmpeg from the command line.
