I use DVDdecrypter.

DVDshrink will work as well.

I assume you have already checked and the DVD in question is < 4.7GB?

the dvd is actually 7 gigs when i ripped it with decrypter...

OK, now we're getting somewhere.

Now, by 1:1 do you mean you want to copy that disc so it will fit on one disc, or do you mean you want to not compress it at all and therefore span it across 2 discs?

id like to make it fit on 1 disc, i tried out dvdshrink and it worked pretty good, the quality had to go down quite a bit to make it fit on 1 dvd but at least it worked...cant wait till they come out with consumer 7 gig dvd-r...Thanks for the help

Myself, I use the following:

DVDdecrypter to rip.
DVD2one to re-encode
Stomp RecordNow to burn.

I use DVDshrink mainly for episodal DVD's (Like ST:TNG.) I find my slightly longer method gives me a little better picture quality.
