DVD Decrypter - newb - PC CD game

Im wondering if i can use my DVD Decrypter to save a CD-rom to my comp, and then run the saved cd-rom so it acts as if i put the cd in the drive??
Do i save it as a ISO or IFO file??
is that possible?
am i a flippen idoit for asking this??

no you are not an idiot for asking, cuz i tried it too!, i had no luck with a cd,...if it was [the game] on a dvd, maybe...

I'm lurking on this one, seeing what the solution will be. I haven't the foggiest. I think it is a good ?.
It seems like you could open the cd in the drive folder and just copy the files to a named folder and maybe open it and click on the first exe file you see?????

hmm, use clone cd, and save to hd, then click on the exe auto run file?? i think ill try that, but right now im too tired. im gona sleep on it.

Don't know if it can be done with a CD. But I know you can rip a dvd, shrink it with DVD Shrink and then run it on your computer with media player by clicking on the IFO file.

Use Daemontools from here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_daemon_tools/
Virtual cddrive, no disk required to play the game.

daemon is excellent for booting up your iso's..the virtual drive thing is kinda new to me,but im a quick learner!!
