Does anybody else have an unworkable Swap Magic 3.6 CD

I bought a Swap Magic 3.6 set a month and a half ago. I used the Dvd swap disc many times and its works great, but when I try to load the CD swap disc, it doesn't even load onto the PS2. It says "Disc read error" . I wanted to use it for the Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 which I burned on Maxell CD-R, so I tried to play it using the DVD swap disc, but it says "Not A valid PS2 disc." Is there any other way to play this classic game. I've also tried to load the Cd swap disc with the dvd swap disc, but with no luck. Thanks

sounds like another laser problem to me... have you tried cleaning the laser lens and adjusting it: http://arstechnica.com/articles/paedia/hardware/ps2.ars/1 ? You could also try burning the game to a DVD: http://teammodders.com/viewtopic.php?t=264
