Well I used to burn all my DVD's using Memorex 4X DVD+R and everything went great, all the DVD's worked perfectly. Then I ran out of those discs and bought some HP 8X DVD+R. All the movies on the HPs skip half way through the disc. So I went back and bought some more Memorexes but they were good up to 16X and they skip even sooner than the HP's. So I had one of the original Memorex 4X DVD+R that I hadnt used to yet so I tried burning the same movie that *ucked up on the HP and it came out perfectly, no skips no nothing. Im lost as to what this problem could be. Also I cannot find the original Memorex 4X DVD+R that worked.

sorry to inform u but the disks u r using are not good at all,
Those type of disks are hit and miss, meaning that if they burn succesfully there is a chance they wont work good in the dvd player.

Like i say in my Sig Crap Media = Crap Results, therefore these are the best media u can use.
Taiyo Yuden, Sony, fuji, maxell, all made in Japan, and Verbatims made in taiwan

using better media will not produce these results

Thanks a lot for the reply, tommorow its pay day and ill go down and get me some maxell's ive had good luck with their CD's. Why would my first back of Memorex work flawlessly though?

Memorex are sometimes produced by something other than CMC Mag. Lots of times, however, it is CMC Mag and that is a very big no no.

If you buy anything other than actual TY, make sure the label reads "Made in Japan." The only acceptable media that is not MIJ is Verbatim. Verbatims are usually MIT (Taiwan). TY and Verb are numbers 1 and 2 in terms of media quality.

Is your burner's firmware up to date? And yes your media is crap.
