usually the specs can be found when you go to the manufacturer of your particular drive's website~ :) (ie. Liteon, Plextor, Benq, Nec, Sony, etc...)

or you could simply post your drive/burner's make & model number and i'm sure someone can tell ya~ or i'll tell you right away if i'm on~ LOL

if you have a newer drive, more than likely it WILL do DVD+R DL media, but some of the older models do not/are not capable of burning onto DL~ :)

welcome to AD~ enjoy your stay

Thank You - I had just Googled my drive and had just read that thread along with one on Dell Support w/ people having all kinds of problems.
Once I found the right software combo (AnyDVD + clonedvd2) mine has been working fine, however. No coasters.
It appears that some have had success w/ DL so there's nothing left but to buy some and give it a try!!!
I will post my success (hopefully).

I have had the best results with DL Verbs using DVDDecrypter to rip the disk as an .ISO image, then burning it with IMGburn, both are free pregrams and seem to handle DL flawlessly.
DVDDecrypter can be found here,
http://www.filehippo.com/download_dvd_decrypter/
and IMGburn here
http://www.imgburn.com/
Good luck.

If they are +r dl's, make sure you booktype 'em first, or else its $2 down the drain, ($4 for me). :)
