okay so i brought swap magic 3.6 and slide tool and i have a black ps2 so when i put in swap magic it loads up like normal and it comes up with the normal things and whatever but when i put in the slide tool i can slide it and make the tray come out but when i put the backed up game in and try to push the tray back in it wont go in all the way and the disk tray wont lock so i have to force out the swap card and restart the ps2. So any help on this phoneom would be great. Thanks for all your help.

you have to reverse the action when you slide in the tray... much like how you unlock it when you take it out

Do yourself a favour & get a fliptop. You'll only end up breaking the drive tray sticking that bit of plastic in there. From what you've said, I'm surprised you haven't already tbh.
