As I am a new user I would greatley appreciate being told how to copy my movies files which are in xvid/divx to a dvd to watch on my tv. I would like to know what programs to use as well. Thankyou.

NeroVision (part of the Nero suite): http://ww2.nero.com/enu/index.html

ConvertX and DVD Santa watermark their trial version output. ConvertX is very popular.
