+1 to that. I was going to say the same thing, but decided not to.... Besides pspersonalize is obsolete and outdated. X-flash is much better.

relax guys, john is just trying to help for crying out loud. And no, PSPersonalize is not obsolete. It's just a matter of preference. If all you want to do is change your wallpaper in 1.50, that's all you need is PSPersonalize. Not everyone needs all teh extra crap X-Flash provides.

Yeah but pspersonalize doesnt come with the added safety features like x-flash does. X-flash makes sure that the file is the proper resolution before you flash it.

But nothing bad can happen. I have been so bad to my PSP. I didn't really care if I bricked it like a year ago b/c I was able to buy another one and I wanted to push the limits w/ hacking.
Did you know you can also use .jpeg pics in 300 x 170 res? smaller sizes... Also, you can go 480 x 272 and it won't hurt your PSP. Again, it just jacks up the XMB icons. So those "Safety Precautions" are B.S. anyway... You're not as limited as you're lead to believe you are w/ the PSP.
I'm really shocked I haven't bricked my PSP by now, too. I have NEVER had my PSP plugged in while messing w/ the flash and I've never bricked. That was a bad habit b4 I knew your PSP had to be plugged in. Now that I've been messing w/ the flash for so long and I NOW know you're supposed to have it plugged in, I still forget. I've only plugged my PSP in like twice EVER while writing to the flash. :p
Again, you don't always have to follow the rules. I've done so much sketchy crap to my PSP. It's not as sensitive as you'd think...

Wait......you can use jpeg files instead of bmp? Thats a trip. That opens up a door in my head. Where did you read about this or did you figure it out on your own?

Figured it out on my own. As I had said, I didn't care if I screwed my PSP up at first. I was ready to buy another. I wanted to push teh limits...
