Not sure if this is the right spot!
I dropped my PS2 and now neither the mem-card nor the DVD would load!
It would start with only the Setup screen, says "Loading" for ever, then error msgs such as: "Unable to write...read..." etc.
Any ideas? My kid is desperate, just bought Sly3, unable to play!

your laser is probably knocked out of place... you could open it up and take a look, but unless you know what you are looking at I'd say get it to a repair guy

Understood that at my low knowlwdge, best idea is to buy a new one.
Just found "refurbished" PS2 on eBay, great (?) store, Bid for $80.
Wish me luck, (repair in US would exceed that)!
I'm out of here, and close bothering you...
