At 80$ a pop a backup is a must, but will there be any hope of ripping a Blu-ray, with in say 7 months of relase/or ever(like 360).

The reason ALL games are coming out on Blu-ray even though the game will take no more than 8 gigs is they dont want ppl ripping and burning. This new Blu-ray protection...

is there any hope? Maybe it will be like DeCSS, one crack and the whol industry falls over...

Don't be so sure the game will only take 8gb.Just a few years ago games were 700mb tops and before that 100mb and before that 20mb... etc.You can better beleive that as graphics and technology gets better the file size goes up.

Psx was using cd's which had far less space than dvd's used by ps2.It will be hacked right here on aD TRUST ME.It may not be with bluray discs it will probably come via hdd hack.

Also they didn't just use bluray because of the protection they used it for the next gen technology that accomodates bluray.

Far as Backing up a Blu-ray game i would say thats going to be the easy part but the For it to play- back on the PS3 console is going to be the million dollar question.

Last time I heard there was a huge hole in both hd dvd and bluray.I don't follow it closely so it may have been patched.People will crack it I'm not even worried about that lol.

the whole in teh blueray and hd was that ppl could use print screen to take frame by frame shots and then put em all together to make a movie. seems like to much work.

Thats not to much work because someone will figure out how to make a one-click program for that.
