Problems ripping the DVD

I tried to rip the movie ICE Age, but after ripping when I tried to use the .ifo file in DVDx 2.2, its gives the message cannot open a temperory file. Can anybody tell me, what might be the problem? Thanks to anybody who will answer the problem.

If you wud like to backup ur Ice Age dvd pls use DVD-Dycripter,IFOedit,DVD2AVI and Tmpeg program. Pls follow the guide in the www.doom9.org. It is easy to backup on a DVD-R or on two CD.

Never used dvdxcopy, however when ripping (selecting main movie files) with dvd decrypter, it can ACTUALLY rip the wrong set of files.

I had this problem with iceage, there are 2 sets similar in size, I think dvd decrypter looks at the largest - on iceage the largest files were NOT the movie, but the next largest...

Hope this helps...

Thanks for the answer, finally I did rip the movie and made a copy out of it using dvd2avi and tmpgenc, and actually it made a better looking vcd then one I made using dvdx, any idea why?
And thanks to both dipu and baabaa for taking out your time and helping me out.
