Probably at least 2 years till they do any price cuts on the console. And then maybe after a year for the launch titles, they may get cut 10-20 dollars as well

What you need to remember is that sony is loosing money for each PS3 they make.

So before we have any price drops they have to:
1. Develop cheaper manufacturing processes and techniques for just about every major component.

2. Recover most if not all that they lost during the early years of PS3.

3. Get the price of the Blu-ray player down.

4. Get the price of the Blu- Ray media down.

Yes but how long will it take them to recover from the time when they were loosing money.

It moves in stages:
-Production cost goes down,
-And then they start breaking even,
-And then they start to turn in a profit,
-And then they make some money,
-And then production costs go down again,
-And then finally the first consumer end price drop.
