Problem With E mule crashing computer

Hi, well i've been trying to use E mule since everyone reccomends it, but every time i try to connect, the box "blah blah blah has done an illegal function" or something similar to that, and it's never the same progam that does mess up. Or i connect and the computer will just freeze up on me.

Has this happen to anyone else? Any solutions? Also, i'm running windows ME if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance!

The Windows ME probably makes a big difference!! It works best with XP Pro!! :D
