How is this media guys because everytime i see it in Office Depot or Max it seem like there are never on sale.Lead me to think maybe this media mite be good, is it Guys & what do it code out as ?

Yeah i got a spindle of HP DVD-R 8x discs really cheap (they were on sale) wheni strated getting into this stuff a couple of months ago.

After reading about the different media and problems it can cause i bought some verbs and out of interest decided to check what code my HP discs were.
They are CMC MAG - aint had a problem with them yet but i believe they can happen with time.

HP Media is crappy. It is mostly CMC MAG and other horrible media. If you want good media, stick with MIJ Sony and Fuji 8x or Verbatim Disks, they will never be bad disks.

HP media is on sale almost as often as Memosux. Both using majority of Cmagnetics media-so they are nearly identical.They were on sale last week at staple's, I think? $14 for 50 pk-still not a bargain.

Hp media on sale avgs about 30 cents each.Not a bargain at all.You can get Staple's cmags for 10-20 cents each when on sale! Same exact CMags-and a heck of a lot cheaper.

Same for the memosux-but 30 cents each. Why bother,when I can get maxell hitachi/ritek/ Office Depot's-Ritek/ricohjpn-r03 for that same price and even cheaper!

20 cent riteks on those Office Depot's house brand sales!

Or get top quality verbatim for the exact same on sale price of 30 cents each.

The stores may make it look like a bargain,but not!

Stick with the high quality verbatim. A lot of issues can be prevented with this high quality media.Especially stand alone playback.
