Ok then, here it goes. After going through the process of ripping (DVD2SVCD) and converting (TMPGenc)a DVD, i can't copy them to a cd. I was told to use Blind Read/Write in conjunction with Daemon tools... I managed to understand the Blind program but i can't use Daemon... This brings me to my main doubt! When i look out for the BIN/CUE files, what i find is that the CUE files are 1kb and the program does not recognize BIN files! I can only copy one single file to the CD. Wich one though?

Simply load the cue file and burn NO faster than 8x m8. You can use a freebie burning program called BurnAtOnce.
BurnAtOnce:http://www.burnatonce.com/index.html

To burn with BlindWrite Suite, open the write wizard (green arrow icon)>start cd writing wizard>next>up near the top click the 1st folder and locate the cue file. A pop-up dialog box will appear and be sure you choose CDRWin TOC format (.cue)>next. Burn DAO pw mode at no higher than 8x.

Lovely... It jumps and freezes a bit but it works! Also the sound is a bit low but i think i know where the problem is... Still, is a lot better than divx... Thanks! Is there a way of making Win Media Player read svcd's? If not how can i play them on my laptop?

Afteryou've encoded your dvd backup using DVD2SVCD, play the bbmpeg file(s). If these files are "jerky", then something went wrong in the encode process or possibly you input wrong settings before encoding. If you're running WinXP, WMP will play the mpeg2 files. You may need to get WMP updates, not sure. Once you've played your bbmeg files DVD2SVCD created and video\audio is in sync, burn the bin& cue files no faster than 8x. If you still have the bbmeg files play them and see if you encounter a "jerky" playback. You can also use software such as WinDVD or PowerDVD to play your scvd (mpeg2) file(s)>
