"OUT OF MEMORY" is a well known RipGuard protection from Macrovision.
Well, there are tons of FREE tools that can rip any dvds (yes.. even new released) flawlessly, regardless if it's RipGuard or ARccOS. Below are some very useful FREE tools to have.
<< *FREE* Ripper & Editing tools >>
** DVDFAB Decrypter - one of the best FREE ripper now (takes 12 minutes to rip)
** RipIt4Me - one of the best FREE COMBO/ripper including DVD Decrypter + PSL (12 - 15 minutes to rip)
** VobBlanker - one of the strongest FREE editing tool (2 - 5 minutes to process/fix fake structural, fake cells, dummy vts/pgc, etc. flawlessly, it can "cut, edit, strip and blank" out any scenes/vts/cells or unwanted junks.)
** FixVTS - one of the best FREE junks processing tool (works the same way like VobBlanker, but it "can not" edit or blank out unwanted junks.)
** PgcEdit - a very useful FREE editing tool.
<< *FREE* Transcoding tool >>
** DVD Shrink - (one of the best FREE transcoding engine).
<< *FREE* ISO/Image burning engines from LUK >>
** DVD Decrypter
** ImgBurn
For more info on how to use DVDFAB Decrypter or RipIt4Me, check out the links below:

Alkohol already provided links to two different guides. Why don't you follow one of them and see if you can backup the DVD?

dpatel09 ,
Alkohol told you how to do it in the guide he provided.
Shrink has not been updated in almost 3 years so the decryption algorithim is a little out of date. That is why you need to use a 3rd party ripper to rip the contents of a DVD to the HD.
Now also the Hollywood studios are getting tricky and inserting blank cells that give the copy programs problem. This is why you have to use either VobBlanker or it's baby brother FixVTS. Both will correct the structure problems.
After you have done the above then you can use Shrink on the files that are now correctly decrypted and structurally correct.
I want you to try RipIt4Me ( ripper that will rip the DVD to HD and then correct the structure using FixVTS automatically
Below is a guide that one of our members here did to help you use Ripit4Me:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/360110
All of the programs are really easy to use once you get them setup as 1 software can not do the DVD Movies correctly anymore. You must use different resources to copy a movie properly

I, myself use AnyDVD, rip and encode with DVDshrink And burn with Nero. I get rid of "Out of memory" error by closing down as many proceses as I can. I run disk cleanup and shut down my virus protection. I get by the out of memory problem that way. All systems are different, this works for me. Later George

dpatel09,
What are you trying to do burn a CD or burn a DVD?
What is the name of the movie you are trying to do?
What is the Name and Model # of your DVD Burner?
How much Ram do you have on your computer?

i m trying to burn it on DVD but since its not working i thought of changing the format to .avi and then burn it on CD. its an indian movie so i dont think u wud know which movie i m talking abt.. and my laptop came with dvd burner so i dont know how to find which one it is.. and 512 RAM..
i also installed imTOO dvd ripper.. its a registered version.. wen i open the dvd on there.. i have like 5 title .. wen i tried to select the dvd-video on the profile.. and it ripped so many files.. i did split into 4.7 gb.. so i can burn into 2 DVD.. but all the files were in the same folder.. those ripped files wont even play..

dpatel09,
Forget about IMToo DVD Ripper. Use DVDFab Decrypter or the ripper in AnyDVD. Lets tey this. I want you to D/L the 21 day trial version of AnyDVD:
http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html
Now after install you will see a Fox Head in the lower right taskbar. Put the DVD in the burner. You will now see the fox head go from red to grey and then back to red. Now Right Click on the fox head and you will see " Rip Video-DVD to Harddisk...". Click on that and then tell the program where to save the DVD on to your HD.
After it rips the DVD to HD then you use those files to run through Shrink.
If there is a problem w/ the DVD disk then you will now get errors and you will have to exchange it for another

You must have a DVD that has structural problem. They will play usually on a DVD Player but a computer is not as forgiving. Is the DVD in PAL Format and are you trying to rip it to NTSC or PAL format
